1965 Impala SS Convertible

Hello from Phoenix ,Az. I'm a first generation car guy and have been in love with classic my whole life. Up to this point I've been an avid low rider customizing my rides with candy paint, Hydraulics, custom interior, stereo systems and the such. I've done all the work myself up till 6 years ago when I became paralyzed. I've decided to enter into the ring of an original restore. My goal is to build a 900+ point car. I've just bought a 1 owner car with 68000 original miles. I ran the vin # and decoded the cowl tag and everything has checked out. The only thing that's has been changed on this car is the battery and tires. It has just emerged from a17 year slumber. My goal is to use this forum to help me build this car as close to original as possible with all your knowledge do thank you in advance. My first question is how can I tell what motor is on the car and to make sure it's a #'s matching. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Gabriel!

That's a nice original you've got there! I'm liking the color combo.
