Gidday from New Zealand

G'day there,

Just invested in a 67 Impala and look foward to killing the odd hour here and there reading up on this classic model from Chevrolet.

May I start with this question. On the boot (trunk) of my 67 (4 door pillarless) on the left there are 2 holes where I assume a badge of some description resided and has either been removed/stolen or fell off.

Have been searching for a while for any pics etc that might allude to what that badge might have been. Almost every 67 I've seen has no badge on the left rear boot.

Saw one pic of poor quality that might have said "Capital"?

Does anyone here know what the badge was?

Welcome to the site. That was most likely a Dealer Badge . Some Dealers had Stickers, others had Badges attached that would tell the viewing public where the car was sold from. More or less some "free" advertising.

Welcome to the Team Shane!

If you are looking for some light reading ....

In this case the Fisher Body Service manual would show you every piece of trim or badging and where it goes on the car

Hi Festus,

As the owner of the same year and model I wanted to let you know that there were no factory badges on the left side, so most likely it was a dealer badge or something a previous owner added.

Greetings and welcome
