Old guy with a new toy!!

I have been on here a few times posting questions and whatnot, I finally got back into and found myself a decent builder!

It's a 1968 Impala Custom practically all original car 327/350 ac car got a GREAT deal I could NOT pass up it runs! The goal for the car is to fix the rear bumper (PO backed into a pole looks like) I just picked up a new bumper for it this evening. I am going to be taking the pro-touring route with the car will keep posted!

Got to love a desert car find! Looks to be rust free as you can find, though the interior will need work.

Most vinyl tops rust through, especially at the edges where the water collects under the molding, because the factory neither painted nor rust proofed beneath them. looks like yours turned to into cloth strips and blew away.

Congratulations!

I love the Pro-Touring style but it is an uphill battle on this big boat, eh?

I'm sure you know one of our site sponsors, Hotchkiss, makes a lot of good suspension parts you may want to check out!
