Hello From the NW corner of Oregon

Just wanted to say Hello to everyone since I'm new to this site. I'll be starting to slowly restore my sister-in-Laws '66 Caprice 2-Door w/ a 396 and a Turbo 400. I know parts are scarce for the Caprice and many Impala parts do cross over. All except trim pieces.
I know there's a wealth of knowledge here, since I not a stranger to car sites. I just recently finished a '74 Nova for my wife and I have 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS. Rest assured I'll be asking questions.

Parts

There's plenty of parts that are interchangeable on the 66 full size cars, just as as you move along if you're not sure.

Paul

Pics of the Caprice, trim tag, etc would be cool.

As soon as I get my hands on the car, I'll post up some pics.
It should be this weekend sometime.

Thanks on the Nova, we have received many complements on it, and NO you cant have my Bumblebee.
My S-I-L has had this car for about 20 years and she got sole possession of it after a divorce. The car is pretty decent shape. Just needs lots of TLC. Mostly labor. I'll be starting a build thread, so which section should I do this in?

This forum doesn't seem to have a "projects " section, so I put my '62 in the "restoration" thread.

Thanks for the heads up. I figured that would be the section.

I was asked to post up a pic of the S-I-L's Caprice. Here it is.
The car is solid, little surface rust in the trunk.

Very nice looking. Not the original color but the paint looks decent enough to leave.

It was a hurry up paint job 10+ years ago and its starting to bubble in spots. The OE color was Marina Blue with a vinyl top. But its a 20/20 car for now. It will eventually will be redone in the future before it gets too bad.
