New from Maine

Hi everyone! I have been reading this forum for a while to find all kinds of helpful advice. Finally decided to join and be a part of this wonderful community. I have a '65 4 door hardtop with the original 283 and powerglide. I am the second owner and have had the car for ten years.

Thanks guys! It's been a work in progress over the years. The 283ci has been bored over .030", crankshaft has been balanced, Melling MTC-1 camshaft has been added, along with an Edelbrock 500cfm carburetor, and Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. It has a dual 2" divorced exhaust with Magnaflows. I had it painted the original mist blue with ermine white top a couple years ago. The interior will be my next project.

Welcome to the Team Tristen!

Why is your forest ANGRY. Have you been doing something to annoy it?

Ha ha no Big Dave, Angry Forest started out as an inside joke among friends. I just have always used it for call signs since it is never taken for email, log in names, etc.

Welcome Tristen. That is a sharp 65. And I'm glad people are showing interest in 4 doors. They are great cars.

Thanks! I didn't really have a choice on the number of doors, my father bought me the car for my 17th birthday. Back then I probably would of rather had less doors and a bigger motor. However now I enjoy having a cruiser bot a bruiser since it is my daily driver when the ground is free of snow. Also will be having my first kid next month so it will be a lot easier to get that car seat in and out with the extra pair of doors!

I love the color. Be sure to post pics as you update the interior.

Like the doors, the color was a thing that grew on me as I got older. I really like the two tone on the the car, and helps keep it cool in the summer. So for all I have done to the interior is put it a new package tray and seat belts. I lucked out that the original owner had seat covers on, so the original seats were pretty good shape except from a few tears in the bottoms.
