The wheels and tires have to go, I never put my 18" polished on the 66 so you already know where they are going now. The car was originally white with silver interior. The silver Interior looks to be survivor original. Trunk, floors, engine bay look good. The block and covers could use a clean and repaint. The paint looks great in pictures and going down the road. It does however need new paint job but it's not an emergency. Still the way the car sits is very presentable. The guy I got it from, and its previous owners must have loved and cared for it properly. I've been wanting a 63 or 64 SS for some time now. I guess the headaches and fun begins!

I don't think I can man. My love for impalas started because of lowriders but, as much as I enjoy looking at them, I don't want to own another one. Only time will tell what happens with the car. Who knows, the thought crossed my mind of getting the roof flaked and patterned out. The car would have to get sent to cali and back. I doubt there's many people in Florida with the knack for it.

That sure is pretty. Is the black interior the original color? I only remember either red or white interior on red cars.

The interior is silver.

The interior looks to be original, but I can't prove it. The paint is not the original color. The car is supposed to be white, and white is underneath the red if you see the car in person and really inspect it.

I like red though, not sure I want the car white.

What I've gathered from reading, because I wasn't alive until the 80s. Supposedly you could get the silver Interior with white, black, red, and one other color, I think silver (?). I can't remember the fourth.

I'm actually having issues identifying how exactly the interior should be. 348-409 says silver ss interiors had dark grey carpet and black dash. It doesn't mention rear deck tray. My deck tray is black, my steering wheel is two tone black and silver, but the silver is worn. Ciadellas has a picture of silver ss interior and it looks like mine exact besides carpet. My door panels, kick panels, and floor carpet are silver. I'm sure it's been replaced it doesn't look original. I don't understand, what does dark grey mean? There's tons of carpet colors sold, I have no clue which one. Ive seen charcoal, ss monotone grey, medium grey, and more. which damn one is it? lol. Also if you buy reproduced panels the carpet on them is black.

Can I peel the carpet off the panels, or is it separate?

I agree. I got a second degree in Fine Arts while I was studying Engineering to keep my average GPA above 3.2: but I still think all colors should be arbitrated by Crayola. If it isn't written on the side of a crayon it isn't a real color!
