I just signed up seeking help to determine an appropriate price to sell my '83 Impala. I didn't see an obvious forum to use. Could you please suggest the appropriate forum for this discussion?
229 (3.8l) v6
excellent body and interior
replaced anything that wasn't in good shape (brake lines, heater core, t-stat, spark plugs)
The 1977-90 Chevelle sized Impalas have little to any market value beyond a used car.
If you look closely you will discover that the car is basically an early seventies Chevelle with an ugly body on top of it so that they become great sleepers with a BBC under the hood (and a much stronger rear end held in place with a set of steel four link bars). I had a lot of fun with a 1000 horse power 582 cube BBC in my four door '85 Impala. Looked like an old beat up taxi but it could fly.
If it is a four door (1985 and up that is all they made) it is just a used family car that you can get about a grand out of if it is running and safe to drive.
