Hi From Ocala

Hi everyone, just joined this site.
My wife and I just purchased a 66 2dr hardtop in the weekend and no doubt I will be going through the many pages on this site looking for answers to many questions I will have.

Wife and I drove our 65 Impala from Dayton Ohio to Ocala Florida a few years ago after attending the Turkey run. Driving a vintage car on vacation is a blast.

Don't know if it is worth a trip that far, but if you live in the south east it is the biggest car show, car coral, parts swap meet we got!

The Daytona Speedway is only a three hours drive from my front door. I go to trade car mags and buy used car parts (Holley carbs for $20).

It is worth the trip just to walk on the track itself. It is high banked and very narrow (only three lanes wide). It gives you an appreciation for the driving skills needed to get around the track in heavy traffic at 200 mph. It also explains why there are so many wrecks.
