New member and so glad to have found this site!

I just bought a 1966 two door hardtop and I can't wait to get started on it. Recievied the title in the mail today and the impala was delivered via a friend with a rollback. Car sat outside for at least 25 years, being a parts car for another that was backed into a tree when the brakes went out. I have a long history with rebuilding cars and trucks, but now restarting after selling my shop ten years ago thinking I was done, but the bug that bit years ago is still deep in my bones so this my be my last, but it will get all I know and all the info from this great site. Thanks for having me and reading my long intro.

Welcome to the Team!

I am an old racer (drag, road, or autocross, love them all), but I sold my seven bay garage decades ago as I couldn't keep up physically. Actually worked as a supervising engineer during the day and ran the shop at night after my employees went home.

Here's the requested pic. Not the best start for a project, but when you pretty much start with a body, you can always mod. It the way you want. No laughing.

Yeah, it has a 283 that was bored to 4inch some time in the past,
powerslide, and open 10 bolt. It's a ac, ps, pb car that has 64,000 miles on it from sitting so long. Need to wash 25 years of Tenn. crude off when I can grab some free time. Was screwed together in Doraville, Ga

That's a pretty good starting position, like someone else already said. Are you going to keep the car once you're done, Fastbacksforever?
