Hello everyone! I was given a 68 Impala fastback. I'm a partial newb to car building. I say partial because my son and I rebuilt a 68 Belair 4 door post top.

The plan is to fix the fastbacks body issues biggest being both windshields and cowl rust as well as tail panel. I'll post a video if I can.

Then minitubs air ride, 4 wheel disc brakes (tho I'm only finding front systems cpp), LS power plant.

Thanks, I look forward to exploring the forum and strengthing my auto short comming.

Last photo is the Belair after it left my garage for the 3rd time.. son thinks it's a derby car thank goodness we had a solid parts car. (now long gone)

Welcome to the Team!

You must be found of body work. Painting it black means you must love sanding. As you get older you will learn to embrace Ermine White over Tuxedo Black.

Thanks Big Dave!

I don't mind body work.. Metal fab on the other hand is scary tho, at least to this magnitude.

I have time to make it just right. My 9 year old son is helping me and my 3 year old daughter. I'm going to make it a family affair in hopes to help another generation keep with projects like this.

I'll make a build thread soon to document it as I go.. for the next 5 years lol!
