63 ss

Just purchased a 62 impala a couple of months ago. It was sold as an SS but I don't think it was.
It had SS badges on the rear and that was it. I just purchased a console used an a new steering wheel and they both have the SS badging. Are there any other locations that should have the badging.

Welcome to the Team!

Rear fenders, and on the glove box (dash). Biggest thing that identifies an SS is the bucket seats.

An SS was a trim option, not a performance option. So the missing trim means you are missing anything you paid extra for an SS.

Many people refuse to upgrade their wheels and tires because of the SS full wheel covers that will only fit a steel wheel in 14 inch diameter. Did you get those?
