Newbie

Hi everyone,

I have the opportunity to buyan old Chevy, I was told it's a 1960. I am trying to find information on it but I keep getting incorrect VIN.
If one of you could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

There is a plate on the inside driver's door frame with serial and engine numbers.
Serial is : 0151940899 Engine: 9491865

Thanks

I could also post pics if needed

Welcome to the Team Ghislain!

0 ====> 1960 car
1519 ==> BelAire four door sedan
40899 Sequence number of the VIN.
You need to look at the trim tag for more information. It is located on the firewall under the hood.

More infos

I got more infos on that Chevy and took pics, i know most members enjoy pictures...

Trim plate on the firewall indicates:
Style: 1519
Body no: 140973
Paint: F
Trim: 838

What would be the actual serial number of that car??

I don't think I will be buying it, my lack of knowledge would make it too complicated for me. So if anyone is interrested, let me know, I could put you in contact with the seller.

that's a decent looking old chevy right there. I always hated the 60' model's looks though.

It is a nice looking car. I like the plane-shaped trim on the rear doors.

Curious though how hard the inline six has to work to move this big boat. I think they have a good torque but make only about 140HP.
