Welcome to the Team Frank!
You will be needing a few books if you polan on restoring one. The original Service manual, Parts manual, Fisher Body Repair manual, and the all important Assembly manual are all available on line as reprints on CD or as the original paper books if you don't mind hunting them down on e-Bay or Craig's List.
These manuals like the more generic Chilton's repar; or Hayes Service Guide for your year, will explain how every part is removed and replaced.
In your case you have to have the key turn it all the way to the righyt (might be the left I forget) and inser a pin in the little hole you se on the bezel of the ignition switch to disassemble the switch.
