What up!

Just bought a 71 Impala with everything all original down to the 400 small block & transmission. Needs TLC on the body but it runs & the guy practically gave it away.

I'll Say!

400 small blocks are becoming scarce as hens teeth. Yours is the early style with a four bolt bottom end. Welcome to the Team Thomas!

Thanks for the welcome's everybody. Today is my 1st day that I can really get out there and play with it. Still in a little shock, this yr impala was one of my top 3 old schools that I really wanted & the guy was willing to give it up for $800.

Thanks man, went out to drive it to day & it wouldn't go into drive after about 20min. I changed the filter in the transmission hoping that fixed it & the fuel pump went out. Cant be to mad its an old car. So pump will be here in the morning so once I change that out we'll see what happens, hope I wont have to drop the transmission.

Thats why i love, and sometimes hate these old cars When parts go out it's like a chain reaction, but parts are cheap so you can't really complain!!
