Newbie from Spokane Wa 65' SS

Hi everyone, My name is Nick and I am from Spokane Washington. I have a 1965 impala SS, which was my first car that I bought when I was 16. Here we are 11 years later, and I am finally getting some good progress on my project. It was my daily driver in high school, and I am currently pulling the 283 engine and putting back in the numbers matching 327 back in it (that I built a little ;-) ). It is a powerglide car and had a black interior. I will be doing some new wheels here soon, and a disc brake/drop spindle conversion up front. I will have done a ton to this car since I have had it, but am sure I will still have some questions.
I look forward to being a part of this community!

Thanks

Welcome to the site. Nice Impala. I wish I had a car like that when I was 16 :-)

Maybe it is just the dark pictures or the tires but looks like it is already sitting low.

Thanks... nope, the wheels are small and the angle makes it look low. I think a 2" drop spindle will put it right where I want;-)

Looks nice, I love those old Krager SS style wheels. I used to have a set on my '64 back in the 80's. A lot of things were different back then, I weighed less, still had hair, the Impala still looked good and in my mind, the 283 was fast.

Yep... Sorry for the poor quality shot...
I did the rear parcel shelf myself with the 6x9 speaker install, and as a side note, you 65 pros will notice my non-ss door panels. The car is a true ss, but the po at some point replaced the panels with non SS panels...go figure.
