Greetings from Canada

Hello Everyone,

Just inherited a 64 2 door sport coupe! It looks a little rough but what I notice the most is that the interior is the nice light "turquoise", but the outside is a dark blue/black? Does anyone know if it is possible that the exterior might be an original color? Where would I find the factory paint info on my car?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
David

Open the hood and look at the top of the cowl on the passenger side. There will be a tag there with the paint and trim numbers that you can decode to determine the original colors.

Welcome to the Team David!

Of course a close up picture of your cowl tag would help as well if you could post the picture. Your car if made in Canada will say so on the top of the cowl tag. If it does you are in luck as you can buy a copy of your factory documentation from Chevrolet of Canada that will list all of the options installed by the factory.

Only Ottawa had the foresight to require GM to save the paper work on the Canadian built cars as Washington resisted even putting VIN numbers on cars back then to combat chop shops stealing your car and cutting it up for profit (all cars are worth more new as a pile of parts than the sum of the whole).
