So by fuel injected are we talking a Rochester mechanical fuel injection system on a 327 or a TBI 305 some one stuck in there to get it running?

TPI long runner EFI has gobs of torque. You get a Camaro 305 or the 350 out of the Corvette?

Application code is stamped in two places; On the engine ID pad under the alternator and on the side of the block back by the oil filter boss stamped into the block. It should be a three letter code.

You will have to look on a third gen specific Camaro site such as this one:

http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-ca...gine-codes.asp

as my books all stop at 1975 (last year for any hope of a high performance motor was 1973 and most where declawed by 1972).
