Hello board! New member with a 68 Custom

Howzit-

My name is Travis. Im a 37 year old father of four and a proud owner of a 68 Impala custom.

Ive had her since the early 90's and have sadly watched her deteriorate.

Two tax refunds ago I decided to bring her back and have been chipping away at it ever since. (the wife aint happy 'bout it, but she will be when its all said and done)

She has a beautiful balanced/blueprinted 355 with a bunch of goodies from Edelbrock and Summit and sits on 17 inch Coy's C-5's with 235 / 55 / 17.

Im very close to getting her to daily driver status and am stoked to be able to drive her again.

I joined the forum to find answers to questions along the way, learn a bit, and keep up on events and happenings.

Looking forward to sharing pictures and talkin' shop.

Welcome to the site. If the car is your hobby and makes you happy then that's what counts. Women rarely understand our passions though there are some exceptions.

Thanks for the welcome. My wife is the coolest, but when it comes to the 68 she just rolls her eyes. Probably because of the state its in and the money I spent on it.

I know she'll see the light in the end.

Light at the end of the tunnel

Look around on this site and you will see some before and after pictures to give her an idea of what the future holds.
