Smile Howdy from TX

Well I can't believe it, after owning more than 30 Ford products, My wife finally convinced me to buy a Chevy.

I am the new owner of a '68 Impala Wagon...
Also the wife has 2 owner '68 Impala 4 door thats been in her family since new!!! Her car is going to be a light restoration project with little modifications. The wagon's plan is a little more devious... LS powered and air bagged... hot rod themed. I'll post pictures of each later on...

Welcome to the Team Bryan!

I might mention that there are two LS-x style motors currently available in the bone yards. The LS-x series everyone thinks of (LS-1 through LS-7) and the big block version called the Vortec 8400. Both use cathedral port aluminum cylinder heads and aftermarket cams and computer control units to make gobs of power; but because of the size of the latter it isn't as well know. Your wagon could swallow one whole, because a big block was offered as an option. Just a wicked idea to mull over.

Currently I'm looking for a LQ9 or LQ4, I used to run a performance shop here in TX and we had good luck with a "ZO6" cam swap and some minor port work (400+ to the wheels).

Here are some current pics of the wagon (don't make fun of the wheels, they will be gone soon) We soda blasted it a couple of weeks ago.

Been workin'

So it's been kinda crazy around here lately... My Son was born 9 months agon and I did not realize how much time would be devoted to him. Not complaning mind you but I've slacked on my projects.

We have all of the body work done and are moving into paint in the next month or so..
