1967 Caprice 396

Hello all, I'm new here and I am looking for tips, tricks, info, places to find parts, etc. You know, all the stuff we need to rebuild/restore an old car.

So, here it is.....I just bought a 1967 Caprice 2 dr hardtop here is the cowl tag infor:

09C
ST 67-16647 BC 149 BODY
TR 843 C2 PAINT

C08 C60

What I know so far is this car was built in Southgate, 3rd week of Sept 1967 and had a vinyl top. Can someone tell me what TR 843 is?? and PAINT C2???

I believe it is C - Ermine White exterior with 843 -blue interior. C08 - Vinyl Top C60 - Air Conditioning. 2 is probably the vinyl top color wich I believe is Black

Thanks for the info.....The car has all the ear marks of a big block car, from the small brake booster to the notch at the bottom of the AC cover. Ive seen plenty of Impalas with BB, but have only seen a 396 Caprice in mags.

Anybody know if I can get patch panels for the rear window area??

I think i read your post about that car. This is one of those cars that I knew I had to have. So I bought it, ran the cowl tag and found out it was built in the same month, week, and year I was born. Go figure.....ha
