Howdy from Brenham, Texas (Blue Bell country)

Hello. Being a white boy from South Houston I was raised thinking that a candy apple green '64 SS Impala lowrider with gold Daytons was about as good as it could get. Haven't changed my mind much on that but I am now the proud owner of an all original unrestored 2 door hardtop '63 with a 283 and powerglide. I was blessed to take ownership of the car last year and have spent time and funds getting it roadworthy. It's a very special car that has spent its entire life within about a 100 mile radius of Houston. Originally purchased from Kliesing Motors in Pearland, Texas, the Impala spent 45 years being the daily driver of Mr. Lewis; a grandfather of a couple of girls I went to high school with. Interesting to note that I've known about this car for 20 years or so. It was originally my intent to set the car up enough to drive and enjoy for years but I'll be honest enough to say that I prefer fixing stuff more than spit shining. So seeing as I have a 1963 Riviera with a 401 nailhead ready to take up some space in my driveway (and needing a lot of TLC) I am seriously considering selling the Impala to a good home.

Oh yeah, my name is John and let me say it's an honor to be associated with fellow Impala owners and enthusiasts.

Haha. Yeah come to think of it that Impala has the trunk space for about 500 gallons...
