67 Impala fast back bbc

Hi every body.I just traded for a 67 Impala fastback. I'm not worried about keeping it original, just a bit of rodding and fun.I always wanted a fastback Impala.Color is Marina Blue.Car is in good condition but could use quarters.I know I can buy l,r,front and back quarter pieces, but I would prefer whole quarters, or skins would be ok.I would also like a complete 12 bolt assembly. We are going to put a tunnel ram on it I picked up on craigs list, and chrome header style looking side pipes If any one can help me out my number is 517-507-8164, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Welcome Randy,
For the 67-68's you may be out of luck getting full quater's, I have not seen or heard of any available. I've heard the aftermarket pieces which we are forced to use sometimes have quality issues such as gauge incosistencies in sheetmetal; body lines off a little etc.
The best you can do is find a donor car and work with them. The only difference in the 67-68's is the side marker light which was mandated for the 1968 and all vehicles.
Post pics. when you can. Marina Blue is one of the nicer colors.

Thanks John

What is the difference between 65 and 66 Impala quarters? Could they be used, I don't see much difference from the middle body line down, also the quarter extensions cutouts on the rear look alike?

From researcing, 65-66' same 67-68' same. Although they look the same the wheel well profiles are different. The 67-68 have a second body line-actually a roll-at the bottom. Also 65-66's have a little square lip at the wheel well where the mouldings attach; while the 7-8's do not.
Unfortunatly back then body styles span 2-3 years while present Impala's (and other's) span 6 or more. Ex. Impala 2001-2004 same; 2005-present same.
Until the general public get's the "supernatural" fever for the 68's the aftermarket will not repro. parts. But there are more parts nowadays than 5 yrs. ago.
We'll have to hope for someone to clean out their garage of cornering lamps; 4 spd. console's and 427 hoods to be able to get some of this good stuff .

I strongly suggest buying a parts car.
An ss 396 car in Miami Craiglsist for $2500 would get you ALOT of what you want.
396-Th400-12 bolt etc...
