New to Impalas.Net

Hi All,

New member, I own a 67 convert looking for parts. Hope there's plenty here.

Does anyone know why I keep getting logged out when viewing 65 - 70 Parts for sale?

welcome to the site.

Not sure why you are getting logged out, but you could try using either a different browser, like Firefox or Google Chrome.
Another shot might be to manually add www.impalas.net into the "safe sites", which is found under the pull down menus of the browser (under Options or Tools,...then likely the security tab)

As this is not a "secure" site, my current browser settings don't allow that.

The main thing I'm looking for is a 4 speed SS console with all associated linkage and clutch pedal assembly. On page 26 is a console and I wanted to send a message to the member but I am unable to do that because I'm not "logged in".

If you are using Firefox/Mozilla or Internet Explorer, it will let you.
It's not related to whether a site is HTTP or HTTPS. It's part of basic browser functionality.

I guess I have my Internet security is set too high for this site (IE and Firefox):
Security Level: Medium
Trusted Sites: Require server verification (https) for all sites in this zone. (I'm not unchecking this)
Internet security level: Medium-High
Cookies: impalas.net Added
Popups: impalas.net Allowed

Guess I'll go look somewhere else.

I wouldn't allow pop ups. This site is commercial and pays it's bills with pop up ads.

I figure I'll allow it for the free account. Nothing is for free!

You can still see the site. And you will get a lot of ads even in the text as the take a comonly used word and make it into a link to some non-related site. You click on the link think the original poster had some useful information to add and find yourself looking at women's shoes or the latest Bar-B-Que grill from Sears. (watch this last word at the end that refers to a comercial retailer as I didn't establish a link but the software will mine my post and add the link in in a matter of seconds).

I sent a message via "Contact Us" with no response. Who else can I contact to make an attempt at a resolution?

Have you checked the date on the add? Some posts go back five years and the person may no longer even own a car. I have not heard of anyone lately advertising one for sale on this board. A more common place to find that part would be e-Bay.

Mike,
Where are you in MN? I have a complete red-on-red (automatic) parts car so let me know if I can help you out with anything.

4 Speed consoles are availble quite often but are getting quite expensive.
If that one is still available for $650 you better get it, the last complete one on Ebay went for $1500+
There is a phone number in the add.

I do not have a 4 speed console but I have a few contacts if you want to try them.
