Cool 1967 impala convertible

I am restoring a 67 convertible and have run into a problem that seems to plague 67 and 68 impala owners everywhere they do not make a full quarter panel for these 2 years of impalas! So i have no choice but to use patch panels! I would like to know who makes the best fitting panels for this car?i bought a pair of front and rear quarter patches from schott industries and was not impressed with the fit on the front piece at all. There must be something better out there.

Welcome to the Team Mike!

GM makes the best patch panels. It is called a parts car; preferably from the Southwestern part of the US where it never snows and it is very dry; or at least from the high plains desert of Washington and Oregon into Idaho in the rain shadow of the Cascade mountains which should be accesible to where you are now.

There are no "good" reproduction panels or patch panels for 67/68 B bodies. You probably have as good as they will get. Lots of labor involved in getting them correct.

Good used quarters for 67/68 run 750-1250 per side.

NOS if you can find them run 3000-5000 per side.

none of these are very good alternatives but that all we have currently.
