Hello!

I just joined and wanted to say hi to everyone. My brother and I recently purchased a 1967 four-door hard top Impala that we're attempting to restore on our own. We've done work on a '64 Oldsmobile in the past, but this car is in really bad condition. I thought this website looked like a great resource for information and potential new friends. So, hello! Nice to meet you.

Oh, and if you're interested, we've begun a blog to track our progress. http://therestorationsofar.blogspot.com/ We've just begun so the poor car looks terrible at the moment!

Welcome to the Team Dean!

Considering you will probably need a parts car to finish your restore I would look for a less corroded example of one to work with and use your current project as the parts car unless it has sentimental value. Just a thought. Actually your car isn't that far gone compared to others I have seen. It looks to be in pretty good shape and a BBC car too boot.

Dean I deleted your second post as it was a duplicate post which isn't allowed. we want only one post per topic so that people reading our archives can follow along without having to look for "your other thread".

Welcome Dean, Your car doesn't look that bad. We will be restoring a 67 Impala fastback in the next few months (years), its got way more rust in the quarters and front fenders.

Thanks for the feed back guys. The project seems overwhelming right now but you just have to go one step at a time

Floor pans arrived yesterday, anxious to start that process, more pics to come!
