My 1968 Fastback-First Fullsize

Hi Impalas.net. I just closed the deal on this 68 Fastback. I pick it up in a week and I am stoked. 327/275, Powerglide, PS, and PB.

I got ya on the K. I'm old enough to remember their big block Camaros. Nice car, I bet your wife cant slap the smile off your face. How many times do you go to the garage just to look at it?

Thanks guys. I'm usually against stickers on the back of classic cars but "K" really sets it off so it's staying.

Yes I am more than old enough to remember Nickey Chevrolet, but I still bought my Camaro from another Chevy dealer called Baldwin. I had the Baldwin-Motion Phase III package installed including a 427 L-88 built by Donald Yenko with his own custom poured high nickel block (same metal as goes into a truck block) cast at the Tonnawanda facility but having his name "YENKO" cast into the block above the timing cover. I was already out of college and working full time by 1967 and bought my special order 1968 RS/SS Camaro mail order. I have had and raced almost ever car Chevy made except the Chevelle (I have no idea why I never bought one). But over the years I have had a SBC powered Vega, a Corsa 140 hp 4 speed Corvair and fleet of Novas and Camaros too numerous to remember every one as I was building them up and selling them at a car or two every other month for a number of years. Before I graduated college I had a number of 1955 Chevys an a few 1953 and 1951 150's that I put 409 motors into, even a 1958 Corvette black with red interior (my only 'vette).
