66 Impala SS Resto progress

Hello, Thanks to everyone over the last couple of years for your knowledge that was needed to get my SS to this point.

Am going to try again to load some pic's of my SS.

Was going to be a "quick paint job" when i bought 4 years ago! Ya well, after stripping down the car for paint, it led to new quarters, trunk floor, end panel, qtr extensions and trunk braces. And of course, how in the heck can i have a nice new paint with the rest of the car 46 years old! Every action has a consequence.

I could not load pic's last time so now i have them on flickr, hope this works.

or search Flickr Silver Fox 340 ?, i think

Your doing a great job. Did you have to take the front fenders back off to install the doors?

Hi, the doors were left off for the 1st coat of priming and blocking to ensure the straightness, then removed for the 2nd coat so the entire door jam and inner door shell was primed and sanded. The hinges are now on the doors until paint and will stay on as I know the gaps are correct. Oh yes to answer your question the fenders were slid forward to remove the doors.
