Add one more to the list

Hey,

I am an enthusiast. I like mechanical things. I work on my own and if pains me to pay others to fix things.

I have zeroed in on the GM 200-4r transmission. I am going to build(assemble if you will) at least toe but the first shall reside in my Shhhh...Buick, arg... Gasp...

It is GM and there fore shares parts across many lines. I have read of a 2004r that came in the 9c1 police caprice in the late nineties. I can't seem to find info on them so I am searching. If anyone here has info I'd love to hear it.

Also looking for the servo/piston combo from a th200 three speed. These will have the casting numbers cover(can be seen from the side of the trans) 8628134, and the piston # 8628112. Thanks for any help to locate these.

Great to be Here , thanks for having me.

Rich

So, you think it's fast?

Welcome to the Team Cruiser!

When searching for a core they where used in actual Police cars (with a certified speedometer) as you mentioned, and in mid to late eighties Malibu's and Monte Carlos, as well as a lot of A-body cars under other GM brands such as your Buick GSX. You want one with a dual pattern bell housing. That way you can build one for either your Buick or your Chevy.
