Question Body Mount bushings

Who has polyurathane body mount bushings for 64 2dr?
Does bad body bushings cause the body to sag and crack by the quarter window?

To answer the sagging and cracking question: yes!

There are several companies manufacturing polyurethane bushings for the 1958-'64 full size Chevy. I don't have that series of Impala myself, but most of the time when I buy my suspension bushings they are from Energy Suspension.

Dale, your body is cracking by the back windows because the rear body mounts are probably rotted away.Look in your trunk. If the area just below the shelf where your spare tire is mounted is rusted away or is bubbling on both sides of car, then your rear mounts assemblies are bad.You will need to replace the bad area in the trunk with new metal and replace both rear body mounts by the rear tires. The weight of the body not being supported is causing your body to crack. The replacment mount assemblies MUST BE WELDED IN.
