9 inch ford 3rd member yoke

I'm installing a Currie 9" in my 64 and am looking at 3rd members. Could anybody who has done this rear end conversion tell me what yoke to use on the 3rd member? I believe my options are short or long yoke, one of which receives a 1310 style u joint. I do have a slip yoke installed on my stock driveshaft, along with a solid carrier. The currie will have 31 spline axles, if that is pertinent information. Along with my powerglide I'm a planning to go with a 2.50 gearset until I install my 700r4.

I have a 1968 with a strange 9 inch. I say it depends on your driveshaft...are you trying to avoid getting the rear half custom length? I would measure it all out and see if either comes close. I used a 3rd member from a Ford truck....not sure short or long...ended up and inch too long and had to use a shorter driveshaft with a longer slip yoke....long story short....use what you want and have the driveshaft made. Mine was out of balance and ate up the Bushing in the transmission tailhousing....it took about 1000 miles...Car was out of commission for a month in prime cruising season. I also have a transition U joint if that helps...I believe 1310 to 1350?

Thanks for the reply. I ended up using a 2.75 third member with a long 1310 yoke. My driveshaft bolted right up, and I have no issues with raising and lowering the car.
