Stock cam with 1.6 rockers?

Well, I'll be freshening up the ol' 307 here in the next week or two with a new intake manifold, carb, valve covers, headers, and I was thinking of doing a cam swap but I honestly don't want to go through the hassle of a cam break in, swapping it, just to be using the power pack heads. I'm not looking to port a set of heads right now and not looking to swap the heads (motor runs great, just trying to make it run a little better ). I also don't want to buy a "small" camshaft to work good with my current setup just to change it later. I was wondering what you performance folks think of running a set of 1.6 rocker arms to increase the stock cam's valve lift? Stock 307 camshaft is .390/.410 (they also had one that was .3945/.3945 in 69' 307's and .4006/.410 in CA 307's in 72, but I'm assuming I have the more popular grind), so swapping to a 1.6 rocker would net lift amounts of .411/.432. I think this extra lift would really help the motor out with the small 1.72 intake valves. Any opinions? I know it won't be as big of an increase as with a proper cam swap but I think it would be a nice little increase.

you're right, it's not much of a gain, but, if I had the rockers or $75 - $150 laying around to buy them, and I was in your shoes, I'd probably do it.

Well it doesn't matter now lol. The car is gone and the small block in the Camaro is already built but it's going bye bye this weekend and a 454/TH400 in it's place. Thanks anyways for the advice though
