Pypes exhaust w/ Long Tube Headers

I've got a set of Heddman Long tube headers and I'm thinking about gettting the pypes 2.5" system. Looks like they will need to go under the crossmember. Does anybody have any experience with this setup, or pictures of how it looks when done? Not sure if I'm going to like how low they hang down. Oh yeah, it's going on a 66 sport coupe. Thanks Ray

Factory pipes were run below everything. You can see the muffler and pipes in almost every photo of a stock car. If you are lowering the car and do not want them scraping over every speed bump in town then you will have to go to a muffler shop and get cusom bent pipes to tuck them up as high as they can under the car which makes the floorboards get very warm.

Nope- regular ride height for the most part. I figured the crossmember had the section for the pipes- they should fit there, with the headers that's not going to happen. If they came stock going under the crossmember it shouldn't be a big deal. I guess you need to get down pretty low to see what's going on under these cars anyway.

I am running shortys with the same Pypes setup and it shows a little up front but I was able to tuck most of the back up high in the frame. I rarely get contact with pavement, but that may be in part to supension sag, which I am in the process of rectifying now.
