Question What do you think my combo will make?

Hello All,

Just signed up cause this looks to be a pretty good site.

Just finished my engine build at the end of the fall last year, first i have a 65 SS 396 Impala 12 bolt 4.10 moser axles and truetrack carrier. turbo 400 with 9 1/2 in stall 3800.

Ok engine combo:
Merlin-II block compression 10.2 (pump gas) CI 540
Dart 310 heads 2.25 -1.90 bowls blended and gasket matched
Camshaft Bullit custom HYD Roller grind 601/601 256/263 @ 050 108
Dart intake gasket matched
Holley race mechanical 130 pump
Carb is a custom 950 stage 5 from Biggs Carb
MSD E-curve distributor.

Engine sounds great just havent drove it yet. Will this spring.

Any guess's on what it will make for HP and torque? This is going to be a street car.

Thanks

Dyno: 500hp/550tq

Chassis dyno RWHP: 430hp/475tq

Just WAGs, of course. Sounds like a nice setup!

I like the cam / head combo.
I think you'll make 620-640hp with no problem. I'd bet money on it.

For torque - I'm not as sure - maybe the 540 range.

Of course, I'm rating at motor power or flywheel ratings here.... Loss to the wheels varies upon drivetrain right? 10% - 20%.

You can load up CompCams free cam picker software as it is a disabled copy of Desktop Dyno Software from 2000 (CompCams bought the company that wrote the software along with a few other companies so they give it away now).

Plug in all of your information including flow numbers from head manufacturer's web site as it is a pump and fill simulator program that aproximates horsepower a little optomistically if you don't give it good head data. Even then it is generally 25 to 30 horse high but other wise pretty good for most of my BBC builds.
