Holley Carb Linkage Question

Have a 600 Holley I just got for my 66 Impala 327 with powerglide. Question is someone who owned the carb before me cut of the kickdown part of the throttle arm. I was told that I can get an aftermarket bracket like this one and bolt it up for the kickdownhttp://paceperformance.com/i-6065487-automatic-transmission-kickdown-lever-kit-edelbrock-8020.html

Will this work for the kickdown or can the arm itself be replaced?

Either solution should work. Replacing the arm on the Holley requires a complete rebuild that includes removing the throttle plates (and the swedged screws that hold them in place).
