Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap Intake Manifold

I have a 65 Impala 396 car with factory air. I was planning on buying the Edelbrock RPM Air Gap Intake for it this weekend. My factory air conditioning brackets mount to the top of the intake manifold. Does anyone know if the Edelbrock manifold will accept these brackets or are the runners to tall? Hate to buy it and it not work. Any experience with this?

I can tell you that the Performer RPM works fine. My car is not stored here, but I remember the bracket straddling the runner, not on top of it.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate it. I've been looking at some photos on line and it seems like it should work fine.

Mike, You were dead on the money, the upper ac bracket is no where near the intake runner - fits perfectly! Thanks again!

Hooker has templates on their notes page that show's what you have to cut and fabricate to get your A/C brackets to fit headers that will accept A/C (not all of the headers they sell will work with A/C, or P/S or clear a manual 's clutch linkage). It might be a good idea to print out that info while it still exists so you can have it on hand for a future upgrade.
