1966 Impala bucket seat tracks

Hello everyone,

I just found out that the seats I have are from a 1966 Impala. I have a 66 chevelle that I am working on. I guess the seats are the same as chevelle but the tracks are different. I am looking for chevelle tracks, would anyone here have any chevelle A-Body tracks that they would like to trade? I was told on team chevelle to check here as someone may want to trade. If this is in the wrong forum please let me know and I can move it.

Thanks!

Another option:

Are you aware the 66 Chevelle bucket seat tracks have been repro'd? Ground Up sells them:

http://www.ss396.com/mm5/merchant.mv...et+seat+tracks

May be able to sell yours if not trade them and recoup some of the money. You can place yours on the free classified section on this site.

Hey yeah thanks Paul,

I was aware they are repros availible now, but I heard some people having issues with them bending. So I was gonna try to find some OEM ones before I go that route.

Welcome to the Team Rick!

Camaro's and Chevelle's used the same seats, the big full body used a different seat than the Chevelle.

Ah ok, so is the seat in the pics I included from a big full body?
I was told that they are the same as my year (1966) Chevelle. And that I could just buy chevelle seat foams, buns and covers and they would fit.

Is this incorrect?

Thanks for your help

Seats are physically different as well as the tracks. Not saying you can not get them reupholstered and permanently mounted into your Chevelle, they just won't be concurs correct if that worries you at all.

The seats ARE the same. Same foam, same springs. Different upholstery. I assumed that the tracks were the same, but I guess not. What you have is correct '66 Impala SS.
