1965 dash replacement

I have a 65 impala non a/c convertible and the dash is in rough shape. Good news is the dash top is not rusted out but the heater core is gone radio area has been cut etc.
I have a 65 Impala 4 door parts car that is running and in great shape. Its an a/c car and I am wondering if anyone has done this conversion and could give me some pointers.

I think I can cut along the seam that separates the top dash panel from the bottom and install it in the convertible no doubt some work but I think doable?

Again looking for input.

Thanks
Jim

I haven't performed this operation, but I agree with you it is definitely doable and probably a lot easier than trying to splice in a Corvette, or Camaro dash.

Garage
I'm with Dave, Have never done it before, but would not be afraid to try. I think would cut the carcass out first to learn the best way to save the one your going to use.

Although I have not done the conversion myself, I part out 65-66 Impala's. I have cut out lower dash sections for guys converting to AC and vice versa. This is the lower dash from a 65 Impala I'm shipping to a guy in Sweden. Does not seem to to bad a job if you can wield.
