Bucket seat in a 66 Caprice

What year seats are these? What car for that matter? These are not the original seats 'cause the have a seat back release. The tracks do not bolt up in the original place.
Any help would be appreciated. The rear seat is original.

If the seat back is metal they are likely 67 seats, it it's plastic, they are likely 68 seats.

If you want the right seats any 62 thru 66 full size gm seat is correct. Seat tracks may vary in those years.

Seats

The buckets seats from the previous years will not fit and are not the correct size. Even 1965 seats are too wide for the 66. Size-wise the 66 and later up until I believe 70 will be the same overall size and tracking should fit as well.

As far as what seats those are, it's hard to tell without seeing the pattern of the material, they have covered the original seats with that black fabric or vinyl. The original seat covers may be under that material. But, yes, they are not 66 just due to the side locking mechanism.

The backs are plastic by the side bead and that should make them '68 seats, but the backs may be a mix and match too. They may be from an A body car too.

Thanks everyone. I'll do a little investigating and report back. Hopefully there'll be a tag somewhere underneath.
