1966 arm rests

Where can I get the correct ones and pads? The chrome is toast on mine and it's just plastic now. I put some in the cart om classic industries until I noticed it said it wasn't for impalas. I checked impala bobs and it didn't look any different from what classic had.

They can be re "chromed" if the plastic is in good shape. It is actually an aluminum powder that is electrostaically applied in a vacuum chamber then clear coated.

Yeah they are just faded, plastic is perfect. Who would do that, like a regular shop that handles chrome plating?

Usually they will advertise anodizing and vacuum plating. Just check on line to see if some one does it around you for a reasonable fee, otherwise shipping will add to the cost.

That's good to know Dave. I was wondering the same thing since I can't find the rear bases for my 65 4-door.

I assure you that having old bases vacuum plated far exceeds the cost of these.
