Replace 67 Impala clock with 5" Tach

Hi All,

I am sure this has already been done before and was wondering if anyone knew of any guides or tips. Trying to change the clock out for a 5" tachometer. I bought an extra gauge cluster that was up for cheap to test with before doing it to the one in my car.

I have already removed the clock and was going to try and use the same backing plate for the clock but the mounting screws are probably too close to the edge. The standard plastic mount that came with Autometer has no chance of going in without cutting the metal.

I have attached some pictures to see what I am working with, thanks for the help.

Can you remove the face from the metal backing plate? Then affix it to the face and remount the metal backing plate.
