68' Ragtop to 10' Rear Seat

I know anything can be made to fit in our cars , but anyone have an opinion on installing an 10' Impala rear seat at 56" across the back and bottom to my 68' convert. at 54" across top and bottom.
The 10' has enough padding to "massage" into place. On that thought I was thinking of using the seat foam and covers off the buckets to go onto my Strato's.
I'm looking for a option that is less than $800-$1000 for seating and because the present Imps are basically rental vehicles; they are plenty out there in yards.
On a side note ----Food Lion Auto Fair is this week !!!!!!!

Did you steal a church pew John? Since there is a nation wide limit of eight feet across on any vehicle (unless you obtain an over load permit and have an escort fore and aft) I was wondering what or where that ten foot rear seat came from?

Ha I had to read it twice too. I was wondering the same thing as Dave. Less confusing if you put the apostrophe before the date. ie. '10 rather than 10'
Good luck with the swap.
