67 headliner trim

So I was going to install my new headliner today but then I realized that I don't have the outer headliner trim (and I'm pretty sure nobody manufacturers it).

I mean I have everything needed to mount the headliner, I just don't have the outer trim. I have the post panels, rear window trim, front window trim, and front post sail panels.

Is it required to have the trim? Should I delay installing the trim? or should I do it anyway?

No I have that. I'm talking about the headliner trim: http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225...mAeOQV3j4g.jpg

I have some of those pieces, except the straight ones that routed over the doors on the left and right side.

It is not essential to holding the headliner up, but yes you will want to find some to finish up the look. Be sure that you get it for your exact application as it is different.

I believe my sedan didn't have any fancy chrome headliner trim because the pieces I have right now are just generic plastic pieces (and two metal pieces) matching the color of the interior. So if I can't find anybody that manufacturers the pieces I need then I could easily substitute plastic that'll work and look good.
