Exclamation 1967 impala vin check

hey fellas,
im going to look at a 67 ss hardtop this weekend, im almost certain i will come home with it. the only thing im worried about is the dude only has a bill of sale no pink slip .. i bought three impalas this way before, the only difference its not registered to his name..he says everything is legit just never registered when he bought.....but i want to check for myself before trasnaction..
what is the best way to check if it has been stolen or salvage tittle or a lean..

i checked the vin he gave me, it is an SS but thats all info i have...

You might go to a local police station and have someone run the VIN to see if it flags as stolen...ask from who he got the car and see if that matches the last registered owner

Ive bought a vehical like this before the guy was the owner but never got it put in his name. This is a HUGE problem if you decide to put the car on the road. You will need to contact the actual owner of the titled car and get a bill of sale from hìm. Do not go further with this unless you get ahold of him. My problem was the same exactly I almost hàd to part the car out. I did find the owner on the pink slip and he gave me a bill of sale.
I was lucky the guy had not seen the car in 11 years wheew

Send a message via AIM to TAR6569
Can you post the rest of the cowl tag info? Body number appears to line up with vin
