engine decode check me on this!

Guys I bought an engine today that I was told was a 327 and I think it is a 327 by the codes, but some are confusing, check me on this. I am using the 1965-1969 Alan Colvin book for reference.

Engine pad 18S231267 (st louis- pass car)
T0719HH (Tonawanda, July 19,) (HH, no 1968 HH code in my book)
There is a 1969 pass 350/300 hp HH code for HP, turbo 400 application?

engine casting # 3914660 (68 pass 327/275 hp application)
Engine casting date- G8 8 (July 8, 68)

Crankshaft casting 3941174 (book says 327 68-72) but the flange shape at rear end looks like 350 crank flange?
2 bolt mains, not forged.

Heads casting # 3947041 (69 350/300 hp application same as 461 except accessory holes added)
casting date- G13 8 (July 13 1968)

I think it is a 327 except for the crankshaft flange shape, and I can find no HH suffix codes for 68 Pass car. All the casting codes seem to match up as as if all parts were born together. Also since this is a late 68 engine could they have applied the 69 HH suffix to this engine?

What do you guys think? Since this seems to be a very late Pass car engine for the model year. Could the factory have added the 350 application heads as the 327 heads ran out, and the factory might of been starting the 69 350 stuff?

Thanks for any info. JW

1968 was the first year for the large journal cast crank in 327/307 motors. It would not surprise me that a motor from 1968 had not been rebuilt at least once since then. If they spun a bearing, or just didn't like the cast crank, a forged (or cast) 350 crank may have been used to increase displacement of the smaller 327. If the crank is forged it is indeed a 350 crank for I know of no forged large journal 327 cranks made after 1967.

Block 3914660 = 327-68-2 bolt main
Crank 3941174 = 327-307 cast medium journal 3.25 stroke
Head 3947041 = 69-70 302 327 64cc chamber, accessory holes, good HP head
Check your casting dates on your heads aginst the build date of your car.
