1968 Muncie M22

Were any Muncie M-22 4-speeds mated to 327 engines in 1968?
Thanks in advance!

M-22 was a service part and used on high performance aplications were road racing (endurance) was anticipated such as the TransAm racing Z/28, and Corvettes battling Porsches and Feraris at Sebring. The straighter toothed gears do not add strength, but keep from applying excessive pressure on the input shaft bearing to aid in duarability issues.

Yes, but only in Corvette applications I believe.(like Dave said). I think the full size Chevy's came with Borg-Warner super T10's(with the 327 engine). The high perf big block 427's could be had with Muncie m-21 or m-22.
