Where was that one found? Above the gas tank? or under the carpet? Looks like some rusty metal got a hold of it.

Can you email me a large size scan? I can't blow it up enough from the attachment to read. What's the vin and can you send a pic of the cowl tag?
It's a plain Impala sport coupe with 409/425/wide ratio 4spd and posi rear axle. also appears to have tinted windshield, deluxe front seat belts with retractors, wheel covers, am radio and comfort and convenience group. Can't read the tire description but it looks to be the option 800x14 white walls.

Cool car! Will be a great one to add to the research database.

And I see two sheets there. A common place to find the build sheet on Doraville coupes is glued to the rear armrest panel. Usually a sheet found there is in excellent shape!

Thanks! It did have those white walls I mentioned. My brother looked a 64 Impala Wagon built the same week as yours earlier this year in a junkyard and it was built the same week at Doraville as your 64! 41835D175292 What's yours? I'd like to add this car to my research database too.

Can you post a picture of the engine pad if it has the original? Where did you find the build sheets?

The trans code 35, is the last 3 digits of the part number, 3841435, which is 64 M20.

On the third line of the sheet, what's in these boxes: Alternator, Radiator, Front and rear springs, carb, air cleaner and the unnamed box on the far right?

Mine is 41847C173547. Sorry, the engine is long gone. Not sure where the original owner found the build sheet, we didn't get into that at the sale. That's so weird that your brother found a 64 closely related to mine.. Small world indeed! As far as the third line of the sheet, the alt box is either 38 or 68. hard to tell. Radiator, 18. Front springs, CG. Rear springs, DC. Carb, 403. Air cleaner, 512. The unnamed box, BR.
What's up with the wagon? Did your brother buy it? I LOVE wagons! Can you recommend a book that demystifies these codes? Thanks for all of the interest !!

Thanks. Date on sheet is 5/16/64?
He didn't buy the wagon. He was in a junkyard in Batesburg SC and was taking pics of the tags so I could add the cars to my database.
I have another one in the list even closer. About 300 away.

Does your car have the original trans still? What condition is the car in?

I do have the original trans. It's pretty solid except it needs tail pan and the lower drivers side quarter replaced. It will be awhile though, I have a kid to put through college

Can you get me pictures of the date code and partial vin stamped in the case? The date code starts with a P and is on the lower right of side cover opening. Partial vin you will have to look for as it could be stamped in a couple of different spots on the case.
