Welcome to the Team Jesse!

According to my little pocket size Chevy cowl tag book cleverly named "Chevy Cowl Tags 1950-1975" by Mark S Allen

http://www.amazon.com/Chevy-Factory-Guide-1950-75-MSA-1/dp/0971245886/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1421868894&sr=8-14&keywords=Mark+S+Allen .

Your car decodes as:

10D Build date the fourth week of October
ST yle
67 =====> 1967 the model year
16487 ===> The model of your car which is a Impala Hard Top Two Door with a V8
TR im
314 doesn't exist so I am thinking it reads as an 814 denoting a Black vinyl bench seat.
2 The interior code which should be a letter not a number is probably the letter "Z" which in 1967 indicated bucket seats. Problem is the factory interior code for black buckets seats was 810 or 813. This is why a photograph (preferably in focus) of your cowl tag works better for this. (it also rings Paul's bell because he is establishing a data base of cowl tags and original documentation). So give us a clue as to what you have now installed as to color and seat type to see if we can match it up.

C ======> Group 3 Option code for a padded dash (instead of the standard painted steel one.(hard on the face in an accident)

08 No idea

BA =====> Assembly plant code for Baltimore, MD
O5638 ===> Fisher Body sequence number (no bearing on the VIN what so ever)
BODY ===> What we are attempting to figure out
RR PAINT => Paint code for an all Bolero Red car (top and bottom)

Yes a picture would be better because the placement of the numbers/letters is significant.

I think your C08 is for a Vinyl roof and the 2 may signify Black Vinyl roof but need to know thier locations.

If you cant post a picture then type it out exactly as it is on the tag
You are mixing up rows. Also I think Dave is correct about the 314 is probably a 814
