Matching Numbers

I am trying to find out if my engine has matching numbers to my 59 Chevy Impala. Having trouble finding info.
casting number says GM 3756519
Stamp on cylinder head says FII9D
I know sometimes the I could be 1
Not seeing any other numbers
Can anyone tell me any info about this?
not sure how to tell if its matching?

Actually the Engine "Stamp" is on the Block itself, right in front of the Passenger Side Cylinder Head, which I believe is where you got it from. The Date from the FII9D Code is January, 19th. The "D" in the Code is for a 283 2-Barrel with a Powerglide Trans.

The Year of the Engine is on the Date Code on the back of the Block, but it can be hard to see with the engine still in the car. But if the engine appears to be all original, there are also Date Codes on the Heads, under the Valve Covers, as well as a Date on the Intake Manifold.

The Block Casting Number of 3756519 is also correct for a '59. The Number is for '58 to '62 283 Engines.

In your year car the partial serial number was never stamped onto the motor or transmission as occurred with all cars from 1967 and newer. Therefor a numbers matching car is one that has all of the casting date codes within 10 to 14 days of the cars build date as posted on the cowl tag.

UNLESS there was a strike in that year of car production in which case management squirreled away up to six months worth of parts prior to the car being built by non-union labor (managers and janitors as well as secretaries who wanted to get out of the office).
