Your Trim Tag decodes as

11c -- Build date third week of November
G -- Interior trim code for use by Fisher Body employees
ST -- style
68 -- year of assembly 1968
16447 -- 2 door Impala Custom Coupe V-8 equipped
STL -- St Louis, MO Assembly plant
008020 -- factory tracking code
TR -- Trim
833 -- Gold cloth seats
g-2 paint code for Ivory Gold

This info is found starting on page 14 of Alan Colvin's "Chevrolet by the Numbers". As to the rarity of an entry level 327 (275 was the base horse power) coupled with the entry level automatic (PowerGlide) no it is not exactly rare.

His last post was on 08-06-2009, at 05:48 PM; so with only a total of 29 posts he is not too active on this board any more.

You can you can visit the user's Public Profile page to see how many posts he has made and when the last one was made etc. That way you can also send our own in house e-Mail called a Private message to ask them if they still have a part you are interested in it available (and if not they can ask me to lock the post advertising the part with a message saying it is sold).

Who knows he may have sold his car project and gone over to the dark side with a Mustang or an AMC Gremlin.
