Trouble Reading Trim Tag

I decided to look at my trim tag today and noticed that the numbers are really hard to read. I was hoping to get an idea of some of my car's history and wondered if anyone had any ideas about how I would be able to see the numbers.

First step is to scrape off the bondo/paint/primer/whatever someone put on the tag. It will be real easy to read after that!

Two doors, four doors, wagons, and ragtops.

Be very careful with that tag as it is only held on by two screws on the bottom instead of the four stainless steel rivets used by the factory to secure it. Looks like some one was trying to intentionally prevent any one from examining that tag too closely.
